Electrician

Stawell Gold Mine is an underground gold mine located in Stawell; 236 km north-west of Melbourne. This historic region is known for its rich heritage in the exploration, discovery, and production of gold.

We currently have an opening for Entry level Electricians into our great team.   This residential position will be a permanent full-time working 7/7 or 5/2 roster.

$50 - $60 per hour with overtime available upon request 

200 hours annual leave 

Salary sacrificed Novated Vehicle leasing available 

Industry specific training provided including, HV switching , First Aid Level 2, Confined Space ,Working at Heights, Forklift License, EWP and Tele-handler.

Other industry / trade upskill  training available on request during annual development plan reviews.

Key responsibilities:

• Strong commitment to Personal and colleagues Health and safety.
• Performing operational checks and related maintenance to identify and diagnose electrical problems efficiently and effectively.
• Surface and Underground Plant Electrical maintenance 
• Ad hoc Electrical Projects 
• Ensuring compliance with all Statutory and Legal Obligations
• Be paid as per the Enterprise Agreement

Qualifications and experience:

• Victorian A Grade Electrical License – Essential
• Proven commitment to Safety
• The ability to operate within a team environment . 
• The ability to work un-supervised.
• To be able to communicate between other maintenance and operational departments.
