About the role:

Reporting to the Workshop Manager the Spare Part Interpreter is responsible for assisting the Stores Manager/Supervisor to operate the workshop store, including spare parts, consumables and other items as directed, and maintenance/procurement details are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures and to ensure the Workshop stores area is consistently kept up to date and organized.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Store/Warehouse duties
  • Carry out company-directed stock takes under direction from the Stores Manager/Supervisor.
  • Ensure parts required for scheduled workshop jobs are available, picked and assigned correctly.
  • Assist workshop employees and supervisors with all enquiries where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner to not affect day to day running of workshop.
  • Participate in training programs to maintain or improve levels of job performance and competency.
  • Ensure all data and information is entered accurately into the maintenance/procurement system.
  • Ensure all telephone calls are answered promptly and courteously and that queries are dealt with accordingly.
  • Raising of purchase orders and Receipt invoices as required.
  • Maintain all filing and archiving regarding stores documentation.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level communication understanding of customer requirements and appropriate skills in dealing with internal and external customer needs.

 

Success Profile:

  • Experience working in a workshop stores role.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and Outlook email, Internet systems and Maintenance/Procurement Systems.
  • Display the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet timelines.
  • Display a flexible approach to work, ability to cope under pressure.
  • Demonstrate highly professional written and verbal skills.
  • Actively contributes within a team environment.
  • Demonstrate positive commitment to achieving HS&E objectives by supporting Company policy, activities and standards.
  • A good eye for detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and get on with the work.
