Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Heavy Plant Pty Ltd is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Fitter for Kurnell branch in Sydney. 

You will be a part of a small team and be responsible for ensuring the safety and mechanical diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs to our earthmoving equipment.

This position requires and energetic, enthusiastic, hands-on diesel mechanic/fitter who is capable of working with a team, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in their work. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Mechanical diagnosis and repairs
• Major and minor servicing
• Maintenance of earthmoving machinery and attachments
• On site and workshop repairs
• Assist with day to day running of workshop, job orders and activities 
• General cleaning and preventive maintenance checks of machines

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a diesel fitter/mechanic preferred
• Previous experience with earthmoving equipment preferred
• Welding experience will be advantageous  
• Relevant trade qualifications as a diesel fitter/mechanic preferred
• Understanding and commitment to workplace safety and guidelines
• Current driver's license
• HR license would be an advantage

• Annual salary: $69,160 - $88,920 (depending on experience) + Superannuation
