Calibration Technician – Construction Materials Testing
We’re looking for experienced Calibration Technicians to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for calibrating construction materials testing equipment used in soil, rock, and concrete laboratories. Based from our Geebung Laboratory, your work will take you across Australia, ensuring accurate and reliable equipment for our clients. If you have CMT experience, we can look to train you up into Calibrations.
You’ll split your time between our Geebung branch and on-site calibrations for external clients. Travel is a key part of the role, typically involving overnight stays and up to 1–2 weeks away per month depending on demand (living away from home allowance paid).
Key responsibilities include performing calibrations primarily on equipment for clients (off-site), covering weighing devices, force, and dimensional instruments.
Responsibilities of the Role Include: - Calibrating in-house machinery
- Execution of day-to-day laboratory calibrations
- Servicing clients' equipment off-site
- Servicing testing machines and precision instruments
- Preparation of test reports and worksheets
- Set-up and maintenance of laboratory equipment and software
- Conducting work on local and rural job sites
What We're Looking For: - Basic knowledge of hydraulic equipment highly regarded
- Mechanical / electrical aptitude highly regarded
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and problem-solving ability - ability to problem solve is a critical component of this role!
- Driver's License required for intrastate and interstate travel
- Desire to exceed in-house and client expectations
- Calibration experience preferred
- Current or previous experience with Balances, Force or linear displacement is beneficial but not required
- Permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand, or holder of a long-term unrestricted Australian work visa.
