ABOUT THE ROLE

We are in search of an individual who excels in teamwork, has outstanding management and leadership abilities, and who comprehends and upholds the significance of professional integrity. Reporting to the Safety & Security Manager, the Security Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the security operations of the Arena and primarily involves (but is not limited to):

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the Security Division, including the line management of the Security Supervisor(s). 
  • General and specific security tasks relating to Asset Security, Event Security, Service Yard, Loading Dock, Security Control Room (SCR), and Event Control Room (ECR) operations, including the development of detailed rosters and deployment plans for events. 
  • Assisting with the identification, and management of event and Arena related risks, including the preparation and distribution of relevant Security, Event and Divisional Risk Assessments.
  • Manage the day-to-day access to the Arena for all visitors, including deliveries, site inspections, service contractors, and event-related activities, maintaining control of the distribution and recovery of all keys, identification cards, access swipe cards, temporary passes, and gate remotes to the Arena at all times. 
  • Maintain a tight and regimented perimeter security function at all times, ensuring the building's integrity is not compromised in any way.

The nature of this role requires a certain set of qualifications and licenses. These include:

  • Experience in an events, venue, entertainment or sporting environment. 
  • Advanced communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders. 
  • A sound level of Behavioural Awareness and security protocol competencies.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy is essential, particularly in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Sound working knowledge of security systems including but not limited to CCTV, Building Management Control Systems (BMCS), Integrated Access Control Systems, and Building Fire Monitoring Systems.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Current Security Licence Class 1 AE.
  • Certificate IV in Security Operations.
  • Work Health and Safety General Induction (White Card).
  • Current Occupational First Aid & Advanced Resuscitation, Auto Defibrillator.    
  • Current approved RSA certification valid in NSW.
  • A current Police Check.
  • Unrestricted NSW Driver’s License.
  • Qualifications in Crowd Management is desired.
  • Qualifications in Risk Management is desired.
