About the role:

We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to join us as a customer experience officer and fleet detailer. In this all-rounder role, you will be undertaking several different tasks required in a car rental operation.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about travel, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and understand the significance of delivering top-notch customer service. Full training will be provided to set you up for success.  

This position is based in Alice Springs, NT.

Key Attributes and Experience: 

  1. Great interpersonal skills, ability to connect with customers and a positive attitude

  2. Ability to undertake physical cleaning and detailing work 

  3. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and experience 

  4. Computer literacy skills required – Microsoft suite and emails 

  5. The ability to work alone and as part of a team

  6. Flexibility to work on a rotating shift roster - 7-day shift work including weekends and public holidays

  7. Experience in vehicle detailing or cleaning (preferred but not essential) 

  8. Local knowledge of the Territory (preferred but not essential) 

  9. Mechanical experience or knowledge highly regarded.

  10. Based in, or willing to relocate to Alice Springs, NT.

The candidate must have permission to work in Australia. For the right skill set, there may be other opportunities within the company for immigration support.

Key Duties

Managing and supporting reservations 

  • Speaking with customers face-to-face and over the phone and via email to manage and encourage bookings

  • Keeping an up-to-date register of bookings

Handling customer pick-up

  • Undertaking the pick-up paperwork for customer bookings including explaining the rental agreement

  • In some instances, picking up customers from the airport 

Handling vehicle returns 

  • Inspecting and recording vehicle damage and mileage

  • In some instances, driving customers to the airport

Fleet Management and detailing 

  • Ensuring vehicles are cleaned and presented to the correct standard, ready for the next customer 

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Other duties:

  • There may be other related duties that need to be undertaken as part of the role.
