TIG Welder & Maintenance Fitter

Chandler Personnel is looking for skilled TIG Welders & Maintenance Fitters for our clients, who are well-established companies in Truganina, Vic, to commence DAY SHIFT work.

 

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will undertake a variety of manufacturing duties, including but not limited to:

· Manage and document trials of tools, resins, additives, cycle time improvements and scrap reduction to ensure continuous improvement is achieved.

· Working on blow moulding machines

· Attending breakdown, diagnosing faults/problems and identifying appropriate action.

· Interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings

· Assist supervisors and die setters when technical and machine problems arise or when called upon.

· Disassembly and assembly machine, parts etc as required.

 

As a TIG Welder you will be :

• Qualified in boiler making 
• Fabrication of heavy structural steel 
• TIG welding 

 

Skills and Experience

· Be safety focused

· Minimum of two years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment

· Trade qualification

· Good communication skills

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Good attitude with a can-do approach

· Willingness to attend after hours if required.
