CMV Truck & Bus is looking for a highly motivated individual to join as an Assistant Accountant, providing exceptional support to the Branch Accountant. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to contribute to financial projects and assist the broader team. Working closely with the Branch Accountant, you will help maintain a robust accounting and administrative function, ensuring the timely processing and reporting of critical financial information to the business.

A role with variety

You will have a wide range of interesting and challenging work, including:

• Prepare and analyse monthly profit and loss statements by department for Management
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget & forecasts
• Process sales files in our Dealer Management System
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as designated
• Assist in the resolution of any debtor issues
• Assist the Branch Accountant in a variety of tasks aimed at improving financial reporting, procedures, and profitability 
• Provide Management accounting support to operations
• Support payroll and other functions as required
  

The Person we Seek

• Degree qualified accountant, preferably with previous exposure to a retail automotive dealership or similar environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Motivated with a “can do “attitude
• Highly organised with excellent time management skills
• Proven commercial acumen and administrative skills
• Sound computer skills particularly MS Excel
• High level of personal and professional standards
