About the role

You'll contribute your expertise to diverse projects, working both independently and as part of a strong team. This role blends on-site and workshop tasks, requiring your adaptability to various sites and playing an instrumental role in our project delivery

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding, fabrication, and installation of tanks and associated components, primarily working with stainless steel and various mild steel applications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications to determine the best welding methods and assembly techniques.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to all workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports related to welding activities.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.

Key Requirements:

• WHS White Card
• Available to work away (LAHA Paid)
• Current manual driver’s license
• Proven experience as a boilermaker welder, with a strong knowledge of welding techniques and processes.
• Ability to work with a range of welding machines and tools.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.
• Relevant certifications and trade qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent).
• Previous experience working on-site in industrial environments and within workshop settings.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit to handle demanding tasks in various conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours as required.
• Ability to liaise, communicate and co-operate with staff members, customers and third parties to ensure high level of service and a quality product is provided to all customers.

Below are preferred qualifications, applicants with any of the below may be fast tracked through the review process 

• Current First Aid, CPR & LV Rescue (preferred).
• High-Risk Licence (EWP, Forklift, Rigging or Dogging).  (preferred).
• Experience in structural and pipe welding. (preferred)
