Task & Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical parts and systems in petrol and diesel vehicles.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services, tune-ups, and engine adjustments.
• Detect and repair faults in engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and other mechanical components.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Remove and replace worn or defective parts and test vehicle performance post-repair.
• Conduct road tests to ensure repairs and servicing meet industry standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide clear explanations to customers when required, with a focus on quality service.

Qualification & Experience

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification work experience as a professional Motor Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with both manual and computerised diagnostic tools.
• Valid Australian driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
