The company is also a preferred supplier to Defence and Caravan industries supplying all metal components including chassis, door frames and bumper bars. Hilton Manufacturing also supplies all of the Australian truck companies with aftermarket products.

Purpose
As a CNC Programmer/Operator you will be part of a specialized team who analyze the job at hand, cut and shape metal for various types of manufacturing components, manufacture and assemble parts into products, service and repair a variety of machinery.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math's, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
- Extensive experience in problem solving, programming CNC and Laser to CAD engineering drawings and efficiency in material management and process engineering
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to follow safety standards
- Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment
- Good concentration and hand to tool co-ordination
- Fit and able to perform physical and repetitive tasks
- Monitoring operations and machinery
