Job Responsibilites include:

Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components.
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components for inspection and repair, ensuring precision and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed to uphold quality standards.
Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother vehicle efficiency and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired following standard procedure to ensure proper functionality.
Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
Diagnosing and testing parts with computerized systems to test and analyze vehicle parts, streamlining the identification of issues and faults.
Inspecting vehicles for roadworthiness and issuing certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
Responding to breakdown calls, providing on-site assessments and efficient repair services to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

Must hold an AQF Certificate III in Automotive.
2 years of relevant experience in a commercial workshop setting.
