ANCAP SAFETY, is Australia and New Zealand's independent voice on vehicle safety. We crash test cars and conduct performance assessments on safety features and technologies then publish a simple star rating which is used to compare the relative safety between vehicles of similar size. These ratings have become a critical factor in vehicle selection for private consumers and fleet buyers.

Your expertise in social media and digital marketing will complement our small, passionate and dedicated communications team who play a pivotal role in driving our mission to protect road users in Australia and New Zealand by improving vehicle safety through public education campaigns and engagement with consumers, corporate fleets, member organisations and the media.
 

About the role

We are seeking a creative, confident, forward-thinking, and organised individual with a passion for social media and digital marketing and a strong understanding of the digital landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to take on ownership and responsibility in this important role. 

Reporting to the Director Communications, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of ANCAP’s digital marketing and campaign strategy through the planning, preparation, production, scheduling, distribution, and monitoring of content to inform and educate consumers and stakeholders and enhance community engagement (and conversion) with ANCAP.

About you

You will have:

• 2+ years' experience in social media and digital marketing
• A strong understanding of digital marketing principles, content strategies, content calendar creation and management, analytics and reporting
• Ability to plan, create and edit bespoke content in a variety of forms
• Excellent copywriting and content production/editing skills with a keen eye for detail and an ability to meet strict deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong on-camera presentation and message delivery skills
   

And will be:

• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and take responsibility for assigned tasks;
• Think ‘outside the box’ and not be afraid to put forward creative ideas and recommendations; and
• Able to demonstrate initiative, self-reliance, and problem-solving skills.

Video production skills and experience in the automotive industry or a passion for motor vehicles would be advantageous, as would tertiary qualifications in tertiary qualifications in Media, Public Relations, Marketing or Communications.
