About the role

Camco Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team in Rockhampton, Queensland. This is a casual position, With the possibility of going full time, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your needs.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with a variety of general construction and maintenance tasks

• Maintaining company vehicles and equipment to a high level inc washing/detailing vehicles and plant and carrying out routine general maintenance

• Performing manual labour duties such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials

• Preparing work sites and cleaning up after tasks are completed

• Maintaining company premises inc mowing, site clean, landscaping/general yard duties

• Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

• Collaborating with the wider construction team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently

• Collecting and organising materials from suppliers

• The role may require travel during the week away from Rockhampton, if this doe not suit, please do not apply

• What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Labourer or in a similar manual role

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding physical tasks

• A team-oriented attitude and the ability to follow instructions

• Commitment to working safely and adhering to workplace policies

• Reliability and a strong work ethic

• Minimum MR truck licence and experience with loading trucks/trailers safely and without causing damage to materials

• Forklift licence looked upon favourably

• Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card)

• Full working rights in Australia with appropriate visa or citizenship status

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessment and drug screening

• Experience using common hand tools and power tools

• Must have reliable own transport

• Must be able to organise and think ahead
