The Company
Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) is the owner of the Brisbane Markets site and is responsible for its ongoing management and development. The site occupies 77 hectares of land at Rocklea, just 11 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane CBD. As the proprietor of the site, BML has over 160 Tenants and over 250 leases in place including Selling Floors, industrial warehousing, retail stores and commercial offices.
BML’s Operations team is responsible for maintaining site security, safety and cleanliness for the more than 4,500 people who attend the site each day.
The Role
The Industrial Site Cleaners are responsible for restoring the Brisbane Markets precinct to the expected high standard of presentation after a busy morning of trade. This is generally accomplished using a wide range of equipment, tools and machinery such as blower/vacuum, pressure washer, scrubber, forklift, and vehicles. Additionally, Industrial Site Cleaners may perform other scheduled grounds maintenance tasks to assist Maintenance groundskeepers.
The role will suit anyone who likes working outdoors, is reasonably fit and healthy, works well in a team and takes pride in their work.
The role is a permanent full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week (as this is a permanent role, only applicants that hold permanent residency or citizenship will be considered).
Due to the nature of the Markets, the successful candidate will predominantly work between the hours of 7am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
