The Role
As a key member of our team based in Parramatta, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial. You will work with commercial team members of various sectors and partner with operational stakeholders to provide commercial, financial, and analytical support, driving decision-making and business performance.
This dynamic role involves delivering accurate and actionable insights that support the organization’s decision-making processes. With no two months the same, you will collaborate across a wide range of sectors, including Manufacturing, Mining, Water, Automotive, Crop, Logistics, and Warehousing.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business units to understand performance drivers and identify opportunities to enhance profitability, while developing efficient reporting models and processes.
- Assist in formulating and implementing pricing strategies aligned with DGL Group’s business goals and market positioning across various services and industries.
- Transform data into insights through advanced analytics and modelling.
- Partner with key stakeholders to design commercially viable and operationally effective solutions for customers, driving business improvements.
- Work alongside the Procurement team to understand market conditions and support negotiations to achieve desired outcomes.
- Present commercial initiatives and projects to internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in refining customer-specific pricing strategies, including discounts, offers, and tiered pricing, ensuring alignment with client needs and maintaining a competitive edge.
- Support business analysis on budget and forecast performance, product categories, customer profitability, expenses, working capital, and other ad hoc requirements.
Your Skills and Attributes
- A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Business Information Systems. Membership in a professional body, such as CPA, CA, or CIMA, is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, including Excel, Power BI, and CRM systems.
- Exceptional ability to distil complex financial concepts into clear, engaging narratives for executive teams, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of translating business requirements into actionable analytical insights.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on achieving results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Adaptable to evolving business needs, technologies, and methodologies.
