Salary: $77,000 per annum plus superannuation

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our full-time team. This role plays a vital role in maintaining the performance, safety, and reliability of customer vehicles. Our mechanics are central to our operations, ensuring accurate diagnosis, quality repairs, and professional customer service.

Task & responsibilities

1. Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical components of vehicles.
2. Perform routine servicing, oil changes, and safety inspections.
3. Test and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
4. Use diagnostic tools to identify faults and recommend solutions.
5. Replace faulty parts and conduct road tests for quality assurance.
6. Perform scheduled maintenance in line with manufacturer specifications.
7. Maintain accurate service and repair records.
8. Advise customers on necessary repairs and cost estimates.
9. Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, and compliance with standards.
10. Collaborate with team members and maintain positive workplace communication.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology + 2 years of relevant work experience; OR
  • Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
• Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant work experience

• Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic tools
• Good communication skills and customer service approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and friendly with customers and staff
• Must have full Australian work rights
• Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and eligible visa holders preferred
