Task & Responsibilities

- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for inspection
- Repair and replace worn or defective parts, referencing service manuals as required
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, ensuring compliance with pollution regulations
- Reassemble engines and components after repairs and test for proper performance
- Use diagnostic tools, including computers, to test and adjust mechanical parts
- Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or outline required repairs for compliance
- Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls as needed

Qualification & Experience

- Certificate IV
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid driver’s license is preferred
