We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanic for our Gold Coast division based at Currumbin Waters, Gold Coast.

Task & responsibilities

Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in vehicle engines, drivetrains, and associated systems using diagnostic tools and technical expertise.

Carefully disassemble engine units, transmissions, suspension systems, and steering components for inspection and repair.

Replace or repair malfunctioning parts, ensuring all components are correctly refitted and operating in line with manufacturer standards and specifications.

Carry out routine servicing, including oil and filter changes, fluid checks, lubrication, and tuning, to improve vehicle performance and maintain environmental compliance.

Reconstruct engines and mechanical systems after repair work, ensuring that all assemblies are secure and functioning as required.

Perform detailed testing and fine-tuning of vehicle systems post-repair to confirm proper function and performance.

Use computerized diagnostic equipment to analyze performance data and pinpoint faults in modern electronic vehicle systems.

When required, examine vehicles to assess roadworthiness and either issue a compliance certificate or provide a detailed list of required repairs.

Attend roadside callouts to assess and, where possible, repair vehicles that have broken down, providing temporary or permanent solutions on-site.

Qualification & experience

Cert IV in Automotive Mechanic.

Sound mechanical knowledge.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability.

Attention to detail, pride in workmanship.

A current Driver's License.

Remuneration package will reflect experience, qualifications, and job skills.

12 months minimum of experience in similar role
