Duties to include:
<ul>
<li>Timber Machining, use of Planner/Thicknesser and multi-head cutting machines experience preferable </li>
<li>Plans machining by studying work orders, materials, and drawings. Responsible for tooling inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available, anticipated sharpening stock, and placing orders.</li>
<li>Programming of machine by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.</li>
<li>Loading by lifting stock into position.</li>
<li>Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, if required.</li>
<li>Maintains specifications by observing drilling, cutting operations.</li>
<li>Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.</li>
<li>Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.</li>
<li>Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions.</li>
<li>Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.</li>
<li>Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.</li>

· Calibration Technician (Analyser CCTV, F&amp;G)
· Karratha, Western Australia
· Project: Project Ceres – Perdaman Urea Plant
· Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our E&amp;I team at Karratha for Perdaman’s Ammonia &amp; Urea project. Perdaman, a leading player in the fertiliser industry with its corporate office in Western Australia, is looking for a candidate to fulfill the responsibilities as identified in this position description.
<h2>1. Responsibilities:</h2>
<h2>1.1. Asset Management:</h2>
· Maintain assets in responsible area to ensure optimal performance.
· Conduct maintenance, and troubleshooting in compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
· Collaborate with plant operators, technicians, and engineers.
· Manage life-cycle planning and ensure availability of critical spares on-site.
<h2>1.2. Main Area of responsibility</h2>
· Analysers, F&amp;G and CCTV for entire plant and offsites.
<h2>1.3. Installation &amp; Commissioning:</h2>
· Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of new plant, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
· Provide technical support during commissioning, ensuring thorough testing and seamless integration.
<h2>1.4. Operational Responsibilities:</h2>
· Perform E&amp;I laboratory and workshop activities, coordinating with other team members.
· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including calibration of complex instrumentation (Gas Chromatograph, Infrared and Laser Analysers, Oxygen Analysers, Sample Conditioning Systems, Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Steam and Water Analysis System (SWAS), Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Systems (AQMS), Liquid analysers and Laboratory Analysers).
· Maintain and troubleshoot Fire &amp; Gas (F&amp;G) devices and control systems along with their interfaces with process control and safety systems.
· Oversee CCTV &amp; Telecom system maintenance.
· Investigate failures, analyse issues, and report concerns to supervisors for corrective actions.
· Support incident RCAs.
· Support turn-around planning and coordination.
· Work order prioritisation.
· Review and update asset criticality ranking.
· Adopt reliability centred maintenance for budget optimization and plant availability.
· Maintain accurate logs, history, and ERP records.
· Adhere to company procedures for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure asset reliability and safety.
· Achieve KPIs and contribute to company goals.
· Managing rosters and ensuring optimal availability of skills to support operations.
· Ensuring own and teams’ compliance to health safety and environment requirements.
<h2>1.5. Process Optimization &amp; Troubleshooting:</h2>
· Analyse data from assets in responsible area and work towards proactively improving efficiency, reliability, and safety.
· Provide troubleshooting expertise during unplanned equipment downtime, ensuring rapid recovery.
· Collaborate with operations teams for enhanced process efficiency and reduced downtime.
<h2>1.6. Safety &amp; Compliance:</h2>
· Work in accordance with the permit-to-work system.
· Conduct/attend toolbox talks.
· Maintain compliance with local regulations, company guidelines, and HSE policies.
· Ensure that the responsible assets meet safety and industry standards.
· Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
<h2>1.7. Documentation &amp; General Support:</h2>
· Maintain accurate records for assets in responsible area including history/data-entry in ERP system.
· Generate performance reports and document incidents affecting operations.
· Develop/assist in developing SOPs, manuals, and technical documentation.
· Assist with the annual budget for capital and operating spares.
· Support other tasks within skill and ability as directed.
<h2>2. Required Qualifications &amp; Experience:</h2>
2.1. Education:
· Diploma in relevant areas.
<h2>2.2. Experience:</h2>
· Minimum of 5 years in chemical, petrochemical, or fertiliser plant.
· Proven expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting of assets in responsible areas.
<h2>2.3. Essential Criteria</h2>
· Previous experience with process Analysers.
· Full working rights in Australia or eligible to get working rights in Australia and fulfill Australian visa requirements if applying from outside Australia.
· Engineering qualification recognised by Engineers Australia and eligible to pass the skill assessment. 
· Conversant with English language
· Physically capable of traversing the plant and accessing process plant and equipment at different elevations. 
<h2>2.4. Skills &amp; Competencies:</h2>
· Knowledge of current process analyser technologies.
· Hands on experience in working, troubleshooting, calibration and testing of Process Analysers.
· Experience with control systems (DCS, SCADA) and process control loops.
· Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and Profibus.
· Hands-on experience with Fire &amp; Gas control systems, preferably Honeywell Notifier.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication skills for collaboration across functions.
· Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
· The candidate should be willing to learn new skills related to area of responsibility.

<h2>5. Working Conditions:</h2>
· Full-time position based in Karratha, Western Australia
· Industrial plant environment with operational exposure.
· Should be able to work shifts and reasonable additional hours, including weekends and holidays to support operations and turn-arounds and participating in rotating roaster (days shift &amp; operation shifts).
· Occasional travel required for training and project support.
