Are you passionate about craftsmanship and working with your hands? JW Polishing, a leader in modern and antique furniture restoration and polishing, is looking for a motivated Apprentice Polisher to join our skilled team.

What You’ll Learn:

• Select appropriate materials for finishing furniture
• Remove old finishes and prepare furniture to receive finishes
• Apply lacquer, polyurethane, oil and water-based finishes
• Perform traditional French polishing and explore heritage skills
• Repair or restore timber and composite components in furniture
• Apply decorative finishes and colour matching to sample

No experience? No problem!

This is a hands-on apprenticeship. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to develop your skills and grow within the trade.

• A keen interest in woodworking, furniture restoration, or craftsmanship.
• Someone eager to learn and take pride in quality work.
• Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics.
• Able to assist with pick up and deliveries of furniture
