Primo Foods are seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator with stainless-steel experience to join the team at the Wacol facility in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. This is a permanent full-time opportunity on day shift. 

The role mainly engages in fabrication, installation and repair of mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Arc, MIG and TIG Welding
• Ability to competently use fabrication tools such as Milling Machine, Lathe, Drill Press, Cutting Equipment Brake Press, Guillotine, Able to use taps/dies etc.  
• Prepare metal surfaces for more work via welding, cutting, soldering, grinding, brazing, and polishing.
• Ability to layout and fabricate components from either a sample piece or drawings. 
• Effectively and accurately document all work performed.         
• Identify needed and/or consumed parts and materials, then research and order them as required.      
• Operate Industrial Powered Equipment such as Forklift, EWP, Overhead Crane, etc.         
• Repairing and servicing faulty equipment/structure if required.

About you:

• Relevant qualification such as a Certificate III in Engineering (Sheet Metal Trade) or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in a fast-moving, high volume food manufacturing environment
• Can operate a computer using basic software applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and CMMS (SAP).         
• Basic knowledge in Lock-Out Tag-Out Try-Out Procedures
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
