Your opportunity

As a Linesperson or Live Line Linesperson you will be located in Bundaberg working in the Travelling Crew which will see you having to regularly travel throughout Southern and Central Queensland to deliver our Program of Work.  As such you’ll be rostered to work a 14-day roster block aggregated working arrangement.

What does this mean?

You’ll be rostered to work nine (9) consecutive days away from home, including Saturday and Sunday with each work day being ten (10) hours.  On completion of these days away, you’ll return home and enjoy five (5) consecutive days of well-earned R&R.

What’s on offer? 

The remuneration for your new role is from $113k+ 14.75% superannuation + applicable allowances.

As acknowledgement of the roster arrangement, you’ll receive a loading of 37% for all identified hours worked, receive additional annual leave days and an allowance of up to $3,000 towards gym passes, fitness classes and other health related services to support you with maintaining your overall health and wellbeing whilst working away from home.

Here’s how you’ll do it:

• Carry out maintenance (preventative, planned, unplanned), and repairs to our distribution network to ensure its ongoing reliability.
• Construct and augment our distribution network to meet the changing needs of our residential and commercial customers and other stakeholders.
• Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant that make up our vast distribution network.

What you’ll bring

• A Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification as an Electrical Linesperson.
• Trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of an electrical network.
• Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency.

We’d also love you to have:

• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs. 
• Availability for call out and emergency work.
• Willingness to travel to surrounding area from time to time to undertake work.
