Trades Assistant – Workshop Based | Bibra Lake

About the Role
OPS is currently seeking a motivated Trades Assistant to support our busy workshop operations in Bibra Lake, WA. In this role, you'll work closely with experienced tradespeople, assisting with maintenance, servicing, and equipment upgrades for the mining and bulk materials handling industry.

Key Duties:

• Perform pre-start checks on workshop equipment including forklifts, cranes, and vehicles

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting/access equipment

• Support trades with servicing, repairs, and general workshop tasks

• Maintain clean and safe work areas

• Complete non-trade tasks as required to support the team

What We’re Looking For:

We’re after someone reliable, hands-on, and safety-focused with previous experience in a workshop setting. You’ll be a team player with a good attitude and a willingness to learn.

To be successful, you’ll need:

• A current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence (HR is a bonus)

• Forklift licence (current)

• Experience using metalworking tools and workshop equipment

• Physically fit – able to lift up to 25kg

• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen
