Task & Responsibilities

Responsibility:

Maintains, tests and repairs petrol engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes. Registration or licensing may be required.

Duties:

Vehicle Inspection and Fault Identification: Perform diagnostic scans on lightweight vehicles to identify and rectify mechanical and electrical faults. Analyze the performance of petrol engines and other mechanical systems using specialized diagnostic equipment.
Repairs and Replacements: Implement corrective maintenance procedures to repair or replace malfunctioning vehicle components.
Routine Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes and filter replacements.
Vehicle Road Testing and Roadworthiness Assurance: Perform comprehensive road tests on vehicles post-repair or maintenance to verify roadworthiness and efficient operation.

Qualification & Experience

Qualifications:

AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training.

Experience

At least three years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing air conditioning systems in light vehicles
