Task & responsibilities

• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts to inspect and assess damage or wear.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in engines and mechanical components using manual and computer-assisted diagnostic methods.
• Repair or replace damaged and worn mechanical parts, referring to technical manuals and manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and engine tuning to improve performance and meet environmental standards.
• Reassemble engines and components following repair or part replacement.
• Perform road tests and fine-tune mechanical parts to verify performance and safety compliance.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and report on roadworthiness or work required to meet certification standards.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification (essential).
• At least 1–2 years of relevant hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with the latest automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
