About the role

We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team at Panton Hill Welding Service Pty Ltd in Coolaroo, Victoria. This full-time position will see you playing a key role in the production and fabrication of high-quality trailers for the transport industry.

What you'll be doing

• Performing a variety of welding techniques, fabricate and assemble 
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
• Operating tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently
• Performing quality checks and making adjustments to maintain high standards of workmanship
• Collaborating with the production team to optimise workflows and identify areas for improvement
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in welding, boiler making or a related trade
• Extensive experience in a similar welding fabrication role, ideally in the manufacturing or construction industries
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A current forklift license would be highly regarded
